What to expect on install day
Before we arrive
- Park where we can reach all sides of the vehicle, at home, work or a job site.
- Rain in the forecast? A garage, carport or covered parking keeps your job on schedule. If weather is too rough, we'll call to reschedule.
- Clear out the dash and front seats for a windshield, or the door pocket and seat for door glass.
- Have the keys handy so we can test the windows and power locks when we're done.
After your new glass is in
- Ask us the safe drive-away time before you leave. It depends on the adhesive and the weather.
- Skip the car wash for 24 to 48 hours and avoid high-pressure sprayers near the glass.
- Leave the tape on until we tell you it's safe to remove, and crack a window slightly the first day.
- Close doors gently for the first day so air pressure doesn't push on fresh urethane.

Common questions
Why do you need my VIN or license plate?
The same model can use several different windshields depending on trim and options like rain sensors, heated glass or a heads-up display. Your VIN or plate tells us exactly which glass your vehicle came with, so we quote the right part.
Where do I find my VIN?
Look through the windshield at the bottom corner of the dashboard on the driver side. It's also on the sticker inside the driver door jamb, on your insurance card and on your registration.
Do I have to bring my vehicle to a shop?
No. We're fully mobile. We come to your home, your work or your job site anywhere in Fort Worth and the surrounding areas.
How long does a replacement take?
Most installs take about an hour, plus the time the adhesive needs to set before you drive. Door glass can take a little longer if broken glass needs to be cleaned out of the door.
My door glass shattered. Should I tape it up?
You can cover the opening with plastic and painter's tape to keep rain out. Avoid duct tape on paint. Send us a quote request and we'll clean out the broken glass when we replace it.
What vehicles do you work on?
Cars, pickups, SUVs and vans, including work trucks. If you're not sure we carry glass for your vehicle, send your VIN and we'll check.
Do you take insurance?
Yes, we accept insurance glass claims. Glass is usually covered under the comprehensive part of your auto policy, and you pay your deductible. Pick Insurance on the quote form and we'll call your insurance with you to set up the claim.
